Designer TV Console and Bookcase for FREE

I mean, gorgeous, right?! Classic, masculine but not too masculine. This is a statement piece, and it’s stunning. It’s also almost $9,000. Also stunning (whaaa). So my hopes and dreams were almost gone, but I found something very similar for FREE on Facebook Marketplace. It’s a TV console with shelves around the TV section, but it’s close. It’s the same wood tone, hardware colors (which I actually didn’t like in person, so I changed that with Rub’n Buff), and the same feel. A part of me wonders if it’s from the same company, but anyway we snatched it up THAT DAY. There was no way anyone was going to take it from me.

Like I said, I decided I wanted a different hardware color, so I got some Rub’n Buff (color European Gold) out of my toolbox, and within a short amount of time I had updated the colors. Rub and Buff doesn’t usually last on hardware, but there are only 2 drawers, and the hinges will last. I love how it turned out. I have other projects I’m working on (like installing trim, see pic 2), so further work will have to wait, but this was definitely worth a few minutes to get get it done now.

We put this in the basement where we’re still working on getting the trim/baseboards installed.
